Arco Steel Buildings’ Building Of The Year 2012 Winner Announced!

Congratulations Michael L. for winning $500 for our 2012 Building of the Year Award. Michael uses his building to store engines, antique tractors, and other farm antiques. His building is "museum-like" and protects and stores his impressive collection.

Cost, durability, height, and its clean look inside and out made Michael's choice easy when choosing between a steel building and a building constructed using other materials.

Michael outlined 3 major factors that helped him choose Arco:

  • "Customer service- Everyone was great to deal with from start to finish; we built it ourselves and everything went fine.
  • Quality- A much better product than others we checked on or looked at. The bigger trim is one thing we liked and asked for.
  • Price- We got a better building for the price than a lot of the other companies we checked with."

Michael suggests that when trying to decide on building partners it is important to "compare apples to apples" when talking price, features and benefits. "Take some time to think about it because there's a lot of options you got," said Michael. He made his decision after about 9 months of deliberation and making changes to the design of his building.

Michael's favorite aspect of his building is "the cleanness of it; when you look at it, it's all clean; no rough edges. It's all smooth. It's just a neat deal, well-finished on the outside. It looks nice." Since Michael's building was constructed, he has shared his advice and referred the many people who have asked him where he got it, why he chose Arco, and why he made all of his different style decisions.
